Code of Conduct

Ensuring a respectful, focused, and productive environment for every participant.

Why this matters.

Young Entrepreneur Club (YEC) is designed to create an environment where students can engage in thoughtful discussion, explore ideas, and learn from shared perspectives.

This Code of Conduct exists to ensure that all participants contribute to a respectful, focused, and productive group experience.

Participants are expected to:

Be Present

  • Stay focused and engaged
  • Listen actively

Respect Others

  • Treat participants, speakers, and leaders with respect
  • Allow others to share perspectives without interruption
  • Engage with openness and curiosity

Contribute

  • Participate in discussions
  • Share ideas and ask questions
  • Think critically and reflect
  • Support a positive and productive group environment

Program standards.

Device-Free Environment

YEC sessions are device-free. Phones and other devices are placed in a designated holding area at the start of each session and remain there throughout the meeting. Devices may be checked during designated breaks.

No Recording

Participants may not record audio or video of sessions, speakers, or discussions without explicit permission from YEC.

Participation

YEC operates through small, cohort-based groups. Participation is based on interest, availability, and overall cohort structure. Students who demonstrate consistent participation may be invited to continue in future YEC events within their school, based on availability and program structure.

Guidance and Oversight

YEC sessions are organized and led by adult chapter leaders. Participants are expected to follow guidance provided during sessions and respect the structure of each meeting.

Addressing Issues

If conduct does not align with these expectations:

  • Chapter leaders may address the situation directly with the participant
  • Parents or guardians may be contacted if appropriate
  • Participation in the cohort may be reconsidered if issues persist
